FESTIVAL FILM INDIE BERSASIS KAMPUS BERMUNCULAN, MANAJER FFS ANGKAT BICARA

SOLO, RUMAHTUJUH - Manajer Festival Film Solo (FFS) Nanang Musha mendukung banyak Festival Film Independent yang baru bermunculan, namun menyayangkan arah Festival Film indie berbasis kampus yang kadang tidak jelas arahnya.

"Aku tidak ada masalah dengan banyaknya Festival Film yang baru bermunculan. Aku sangat mendukung. Fungsi festival kan untuk apresiasi film maker, semakin banyak ruang malah semakin bagus. Sayang, bukannya kurang greget, tapi kadang festival film berbasis kampus dipertanyakan, ke mana sih arah festival film ini?" Ungkap Nanang saat diwawancarai di Sekretariat Festival FIlm Solo, Jumat (13/4).

Nanang mengatakan. panitia festival yang dari komunitas kampus harusnya tidak dibatasi masa kepungurusan. "Harusnya kemampuan kita mengelola festival sudah level lima, namun kembali nol lagi karena masa kepengurusan selesai dan panitia akan diganti dengan angkatan baru yang pengalamannya belum seberapa."

Selanjutnya Nanang berpendapat, Festival muncul bukan karena keharusan dan program kerja, tapi karena niat dan tujuan dari pengelola festival. Keterpaksaan mengadakan festival hanya akan membuat festival berjalan tidak maksimal dan tidak mencapai tujuan yang seharusnya.

Saat ditanya mengenai Festival yang menggandeng Sponsor besar, Nanang mengaku FFS belum merasa perlu. "FFS berusaha untuk tidak ketergantungan dengan pihak tertentu. Selain akan banyaknya campur tangan dari sponsor tersebut, Keberlanjutan festival juga akan terancam kalau sampai kerjasama tertuputus. Kita belajar dari pengalaman festival film lain," ungap Nanang.

Festival Film Solo tahun kedua ini telah menerima 218 film pendaftar. Film yang masuk 20 besar akan discreening di Teater Besar ISI Surakarta. Pemenang akan diumumkan pada malam puncak di Taman Budaya Jawa Tengah 13 Mei 2012.  FFS juga akan menghadirkan sejumlah film maker andal, seperti Seno Gumira Ajidarma serta Joko Anwar.
